Installing Powershell version 4 on Windows 7

Windows 7 is shipped with Powershell version 2 by default.

To upgrade Powershell to version 4 :

  • Check your current Powershell version : $psversiontable
  • Install Windows Management Framework 4.0 following these instructions : Here
  • Reboot your machine
  • Check your new version of Powershell : $psversiontable
