Installing Perl modules from CPAN on Debian Jessie

The Perl module REST::Client is not available by default in the Debian repositories.
Debian provides the dh-make-perl tool to build Debian packages for Perl modules freshly downloaded from CPAN.

[root@localhost:~]#dh-make-perl --build --cpan REST::Client

A new deb package is then created. To install it :

[root@localhost:~]#dpkg -i your_perl_module.deb

To check this new Perl module availability :

[root@localhost:~]#perl -MREST::Client -e1
